Indefinite Alimony Awarded In Contested Divorce Trial
Jason Ostendorf obtained an award of indefinite alimony for his client after a two-day contested divorce trial in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County, case no. 03-C-07-13360.  Mr. Ostendorf represented the wife, and questioned eight witnesses regarding the husband's adultery, including direct examinations of the husband and his girlfriend.  Mr. Ostendorf questioned several additional witnesses regarding other aspects of the marriage.  The Court granted the wife an absolute divorce based on the husband's adultery, and awarded fifty percent (50%) of the marital property to the wife, along with indefinite alimony in the amount of $1,200 per month.

Attorney Stops Foreclosures And Saves Homes
Jason Ostendorf has been able to stop foreclosure proceedings, and save his clients' homes.  In the Circuit Court for Baltimore County, case no. 03-C-07000311, the mortgage company tried to foreclose on a Baltimore County grandmother's home, despite the fact the debt had already been paid in full.  Mr. Ostendorf immediately filed for an injunction.  Within days, the mortgage company's foreclosure lawyers backed-off, and dismissed the foreclosure proceedings.  In the Circuit Court for Harford County, case no. 12-C-07-000900, the mortgage company attempted to foreclose on a home, despite the fact that the homeowner had tried on many occassions to pay the alleged debt.  Very soon after Mr. Ostendorf stepped-in to represent the homeowner, the mortgage company and its foreclosure lawyers decided to stop the games and accept the payments.

$150,000.00 Contempt Order
On February 13, 2008, in the Orphans' Court for Baltimore County, Jason Ostendorf obtained a $150,000.00 contempt order in favor of his client, the wife of the deceased and personal representative of the Estate, against a person who stole money from the Estate.

Class Action Against Debt Collectors
On March 27, 2009, Jason Ostendorf, along with a fellow consumer litigation attorney, Thomas Minton, filed a class action lawsuit against Citicorp Credit Services, Inc. (USA), a debt collector subsidiary of Citigroup, Inc., and its debt collection attorneys.  The lawsuit alleges that the debt collectors made illegal misrepresentations to Maryland consumers by demanding credit card interest charged in excess of federal and state usury laws, in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.  The class action was filed in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City, case no. 24-C-09-002139, and seeks damages in excess of $1,000,000.00.
